Projects > Social Enterprise in Kent
Social Enterprise in Kent is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and delivered by Focus to Work and Blackthorn Trust.
It has three inter-related activities:
1) Intermediary Labour Market
The programme enables individuals identified as disadvantaged in the labour market to be employed in Intermediary Labour Markets within the social economy of Kent & Medway. Opportunities include: catering, construction, horticulture, hairdressing, care and administration.
2) Development of New Social Enterprises
The programme will support the development of new social enterprises by contributing to the costs of work placed mentors and industrial expertise into current and developing social enterprises.
3) Infrastructure Support for Social Enterprises
This programme will assist the development of organisations that support social enterprises, including the incubation of a county-wide network and business development activities for new and existing social enterprises.
