About > Overview
Focus to Work was established in April 2003 with financial support from Government Office South East (GOSE), Kent County Council, Thanet Action Team for Jobs and Thanet District Council.
We simultaneously launched four interdependent businesses to deliver the training and employment aspirations of the company:
- Focus to Work CIC (originally Focus to Work Trust Ltd)
- Constructiv Building Works
- Impressions Café Restaurant
- Solutions Employment and Training (originally Focus Solutions)
Opportunities for further development were supported via a grant from the Esmée Fairbairn and Focus to Work was one of the first recipients of a loan from the South East Community Loan Fund.
Focus to Work has quickly established itself as one of the South East’s leading social enterprises.
Focus to Work, in partnership with SEEDA, Kent County Council and Blackthorn Trust has developed and incubated the Kent and Medway Social Enterprise Network (new website coming soon). In addition, Focus to Work is represented on the South East Social Enterprise Network and members of Social Firms UK and the Social Enterprise Coalition.
Requests for advice, information and support has resulted in the development of our consultancy business – NapierRalf Associates. A range of study opportunities are available at any of our social enterprises, for further details please contact admin@focustowork.co.uk.
